Craic-ing up

As you can see from this photo Jimeoin is a dance sensation. But when he visits the North Coast shortly hell be leaving the ballet shoes behind and trying his hand at stand-up comedy. Should be humorous if not downright hilarious.

Jimeoin is a household name in Australian comedy which is an achievement for an Irishman who is famous for his comedic successes at the Edinburgh Festival.

His jaw-achingly funny insights into our everyday lives have seen this stand-up comedian with the rubber face tour the world and feature on television and the big screen. (I remember his very funny TV show Jimeoin from the mid 90s and his movies The Craic and The Extra.)

You can experience the wit, the warmth and the absurdities of Jimeoin at the Great Northern Hotel in Byron (6685 66454) on Thursday, December 28, and on Thursday, January 25; at the Ballina RSL Club on Friday, December 29 (6686 2544); and at Casino RSM (6662 1666) on Saturday, January 13.

Best book your tickets early as this guy sells out fast.

Freebie: The Echo has a double pass to give away to the Ballina RSL gig. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.30 & 10.45am next Monday, December 18, and tell us in which country the Edinburgh Festival takes place.
