Local book on terror for kids!

Author Steve Latowski was born in London but is now a Nimbin resident. His novel for young readers Martin Fartingale Terror on the Mount is a gentle tale with lots of humour. And lots of things that kids like in their stories torture chambers, witches potions, dank tunnels, a mad monk and a black knight.

This is the first of a series of Martin Fartingale adventures.

The author will be available for book signings and a chat at Noahs Arc in Lismore this Saturday, December 9, from 10am-3pm; and at Mullumbimby Bookshop on Thursday, December 21, from 12-4pm.

Martin Fartingale Terror on the Mount is available from your local bookshop or online at for $16.95.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
