Kittens desperate for good homes

Northern Rivers Animal Services currently have 20 kittens needing permanent, loving homes.

The kittens range from seven to nine weeks old, both males and females, in many different colours. The organisation is overloaded and desperately needs people to house these animals. The kitten adoption fee has been lowered to $100 for females and $80 for males, which covers a vet check, vaccination, microchipping and desexing. They also have a discounted desexing program for those in genuine financial need.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
