Cabaret to help kids

Theres heaps of money floating around this state. Look at how much CEOs get paid. Check out the tax breaks for the very rich (poor babies). Behold in amazement subsidies given to job-cutting companies.

But when it comes to funding preschools, NSW gives the least in the country. So preschools have to get their own money to help our kids. Sad.

This Saturday, December 2, therell be a cabaret at Nimbin Town Hall to raise monies for the Nimbin Community Preschool.

And look at the talent that have donated their time for this gig Pagan Love Cult, Compass Rose (pictured), Martin Preedy, Ewan James, John Derighetti, Dave Basnett & Friends, Tap Bitches, Nomads Belly Dancers... and a special guest who may well go off!

Tickets are $15 and available from Perceptio bookshop in Nimbin. Dinner by Nimbin Gourmet is included in the price.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
