Womens refuge gets a helping hand from Zonta

The Zonta Club of Northern Rivers recently presented the Lismore Womens and Childrens Refuge with 10 care packs, each containing emergency toiletries for women as they arrive at the refuge.

Refuge manager Felicia Collyer (centre) gratefully accepted the packs from Zonta member Julianne Cody (left) and president Liz Terracini.

Zonta, which is committed to the well-being of women and the elimination of domestic violence worldwide, has donated many items to the refuge over the years. Coincidentally, this Saturday, November 25, is White Ribbon Day the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
