Community Legal Centre turns 10!

The Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre will celebrate its 10th birthday tomorrow afternoon (Friday, November 24) with a function at Lismore City Hall.

The function, from 3.30pm, will include an address by Jennifer Nielsen from Southern Cross Universitys School of Law and Justice, as well as former clients of the centre speaking of their experiences.

Centre manager Angela Pollard said in its 10 years, the Centre had helped many members of the community from Grafton to Tweed Heads with their legal, tenancy or court-support issues.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
