Masters swimming success

Lismore swimmers John Munro and Lib Ruytenberg successfully competed in the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast last weekend. Munro brought home bronze medals in the 400m and 200m breaststroke events while Ruytenberg earned a silver medal in the 400m freestyle and bronzes in the 200m and 100m freestyle.

The Pan Pacific Masters Games encompassed competitions in 43 different sports, with competitors ranging in age from 25 to 92. Many of the older swimmers were inspirational, with quite a few over 60 repeatedly outclassing much younger entrants.
