Doin the stomp

The Lismore Stompers is a traditional jazz band made up of some of the most well known jazz characters on the North Coast. With ex-Britisher Phil Morris on trumpet and vocals, zany Davey Rankin on trombone and jokes, Pietro Fine on clarinet and (as he puts it) other annoyances, Terry Villis plucking banjo, Mark Bromley playing the double bass and young fella Josh Bell slapping the skins, the Lismore Stompers will perform (and have some fun) at the Dunoon Sports Club this Sunday, November 26, from 3pm.

And Ben van Kleef will be guesting on the tuba.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
