Hear drum

Greg Sheehan, Bobby Singh and Ben Walsh make up the trio Circle of Rhythm. They have lots of percussive instruments but no furniture...

After years of defining and redefining Australian drumming, Greg Sheehan, Bobby Singh and Ben Walsh formed a percussion trio that reflects the various styles that all three dynamic performers have spent their musical lives exploring.

Circle of Rhythm is the result of years of collaboration together through many different groups such as Pablo Percusso, Utungan Percussion, Skin, Dha, The Bird, and Taal Vadya to name a few...

Their show is a homage to multicultural Australia, borrowing rhythms and melding a collection of drum styles together in a way that is both modernly distinctive and rich in ancient tradition.

Feel the slash of razor-sharp precision beats and the burn of syncopatic delirium that is Circle of Rhythm at the A&I Hall in Bangalow on Friday, December 1, from 8pm. Entry is $18/16.
