Although the locals held their own in the first half they burnt out in the second, letting in four goals as the Sunshine Coast took all the sting out of the Suns forays, turning the heat back on the young firebrands.
The Suns will have a chance to fire up again next Saturday when they head to Burleigh to play the Gold Coast.
The North Coast Flames have surrendered their place on top of the Womens Summer Soccer League ladder, going down 3-1 to Peninsula Power at Tumbulgum on Saturday.
Early defensive lapses by the Flames set up the win for Power as they scored two early goals. Although Shani Lauf hit back it was never going to be enough against their determined opponents.
The Flames next match is against East Brisbane in Brisbane this Saturday.
