Indigenous art workshop

There will be a workshop for indigenous visual artists at Cabbage Tree Island near Wardell next Tuesday, November 21, from 9am. Facilitating the workshop are two established local artists, Karla Dickens and Burri Jerome. Participants will also meet gallery owner Becci Zellig from Planet Corroboree in Byron.

Therell be talks and practical workshops.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
