Dance, dance, dance

These girls obviously have different dance styles. They are part of the super dance show Superstars.

Superstars is the Northern Rivers Conservatoriums end of year performance by the dance department.

It features contemporary works by Michael Hennessy (head of dance at the Con), performance artworks directed by Cherie Wittaker, hip hop choreographed by Cristy Kilkeary, ballet by Kirsten Lee and African dance by Cheze. Wow. Thats diverse...

Flamenco teacher Serena Joy will also present Bellaflamenca dancers to add (sensual) flair to the night.

Superstars hits the Star Court Theatre stage in Lismore next Thursday, November 23, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are $12/10 and available at the door. Or phone the Con on 6621 2266.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
