The music that Sydney based-quartet Arabesk (pictured) play is sometimes described as Gypsy soul. They have adopted the rhythms and melodies of a vast global symphony and moulded them into their own style.
With violin, viola, guitar, drrubka (I dont know what that is...), drums and bass, Arabesk is about invention and innovation, rhythm and tones.
Check em out at Coorabell Hall this Saturday, November 18, from 8pm.
Tickets are $16/14 at the door. And there are munchies available.
