THE father of three murdered children once beat his daughter so viciously with a pool cue for talking to a boy that she couldn't walk for three days, a court has heard.

Vijay Singh was questioned in the Supreme Court in Brisbane today about the attack on his elder daughter Neelma in 1997, six years before she was killed.

Mr Singh was giving evidence in the trial of Max Sica, who is accused of murdering 24-year-old Neelma and her younger brother Kunal, 18, and sister Sidhi, 12.

Their bodies were found in the ensuite spa bath of their home in the outer Brisbane suburb of Bridgeman Downs on April 22, 2003.

Sica has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder, but it was Mr Singh who had to answer allegations of violence against his family while on the stand for the fourth day today.
