Eva Mendes
EVA Mendes, Jennifer Garner and Katie Holmes are among the guests at this year's Variety Power of Women luncheon.
The trio of stars are among the Lifetime Impact Honourees at the second annual event which recognises the philanthropic work of women in Hollywood.
Eva is being recognised for her work with Art of Elysium - a non-profit organisation which encourages working actors, artists and musicians to dedicate their time to children suffering from serious medical conditions - while Jennifer is acknowledged for her work with Save the Children.
Katie has been invited for her work with the Dizzy Feet Foundation, an organisation she set up in 2009 with 'American Idol' producer Nigel Lythgoe, 'The Pacifier' director Adam Shankman and 'Dancing with the Stars' judge Carrie Ann Inaba to help underprivileged young people in the US become professional dancers and to increase access to dance education in America.
Other honourees include actress Amy Adams for her work on behalf of The Ghetto Film School, Management 360 Founding Partner Suzan Bymel for her contribution to the Global Creative Forum, 'Jumper' star Diane Lane for her association with Heifer International - which gives livestock and training to families in poverty across the world - and Natalie Portman who is recognised for being an Ambassador of Hope for FINCA, which aims to provide small loans and other financial services to help families get out of poverty.
Michelle Sobrino, Variety's Associate Publisher, said in a statement: "By honouring this incredible group of high-profile women who are leading the charge, we hope to inspire and empower everyone within our industry - and throughout the world - to get involved and give back.
"The goal of Variety's Power of Women is to celebrate women in entertainment who have made significant contributions to the philanthropic and charitable causes closest to their hearts."
Variety's Power of Women luncheon will take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel on September 30.
