The latch key to success

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Gavin Heaney performs under the alias of Latch Key Kid and has managed to have his music heard by millions of people by getting his songs on popular TV program such as Packed to the Rafters, Scrubs and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

He has produced three albums from his home studio in California, playing all of the instruments himself. He has also toured the US and Canada with Jack Johnson, The Wailers, Donovan Frankenreighter and also Aussie acts The John Butler Trio and The Beautiful Girls. Now Latch Key Kid is making his first visit to Australia where he will be playing (and surfing) his way up and down the East Coast with the first shows of the tour booked for the Nimbin Hotel next Thursday, July 15, and the Lennox Hotel next Saturday, July 17.
