Recycling and re-using items in creating artworks will be the focus of free art workshops held at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery in Ballina this month.
Sculptor Teah Fort will be running two workshops (10am-12pm; 1-3pm) this Saturday, March 13, in conjunction with her exhibition Rare Plastics. In these workshops you’ll use recycled plastics to create your own sculptures. Bookings are essential.
Denise N. Rall, as part of her exhibition Darker Shades of Royal, will give two talks on Costume and Conquest: the drama of European influence in Garments and Textiles.
The talks will be held at the gallery next Wednesday, March 17, at 11am and on Sunday, March 21, at 1pm. Entry is free.
The Northern Rivers Community Gallery is at 44 Cherry Street in the former Council Chambers. For more info and bookings phone 6681 6167.
