Kim and Sarah Faife of Mullaway, pictured here surfing with dog Grommet, introduced their near born son, Fonzie, to the surf this week well before his arrival.
ONE day old and already it’s clear that Fonzie Arthur Faife was born to surf.
Coming as the first bundle of joy for Arrawarra surf instructors Kim and Sarah Faife, he arrived just days after his parents fitted in a surf together with their dog Grommet.
“He’s ridden a lot of waves already, and was delivered as a water birth at the hospital, so I guess you could say he’s already a natural born surfer,” Kim said.
“People are already asking me if that is his real name, I’m telling them you can call him whatever you like Fonzie, the Fonz – it’s happy days,” he said.
Returning to their beachside Mullaway home yesterday afternoon, Kim and Sarah say they look forward to the day when Fonzie will attend his first surf class at Arrawarra’s Spot X Surf School.
