TERRANIA Creek musician Terri Nicholson has landed at no.1 on the Amazon contemporary folk charts after one day of sales.

The album, Falling Into Feeling, currently sits at no.51 on the overall chart.

Both friends and fans have shown their support and bought the album to help it soar to the top of the folk chart above Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Leonard Cohen and Rod Stewart.

Nicholson who is thrilled with the result is keen to thank everyone who has bought a copy.

"It has been a community effort to make it happen," she said. "So thank you!"

The one-day offer of $5,000 worth of digital downloads with the purchase of the album has certainly helped encourage sales.
