Some enchanted windows
A WALK around Lismore's CBD brings extra delight this week with many shopkeepers entering the Enchanted Windows competition as part of the Lismore Lantern Festival.
The competition, which invited shops to create a window display using the Lantern Festival's theme of Harvest, was judged on Tuesday night, with Carrington Street florist Treeling announced the winner.
Enchanted Windows coordinator Bonnie Martin told The Echo many shops had beautifully decorated windows.
"When the windows are illuminated after dark, it's a spectacular display," Bonnie said.
"Many shop owners have put great imagination and creativity into their designs. It all contributes to the special celebration that Lismore's Lantern Parade brings to the town.
"We're all looking forward to even more businesses getting into the Enchanted Windows spirit next year."
