Sex survey probes aussie men
AUSSIE blokes believe they are generous lovers, well endowed, old fashioned and not nearly as addicted to porn as women may think according to a survey released on Wednesday.
At least 50,000 men aged between 18 and 34 answered 100 questions on sex, love, fashion and politics listed in the annual survey conducted by men's lifestyle website AskMen.
The survey found, when it came to sex, the "typical" Australian male had never paid for it, would never ask to watch porn during the act and were "sensitive" to their lover's needs.
The overwhelming majority - about 93% - also believe it was important their partner orgasmed.
About 70% also reckoned they would do their bit and take a male birth control pill if one became available.
The same number said they believed in marriage and still considered traditional values to be important.
The only downside?
Less than half of participants said they would never cheat on their partner.
AskMen editor Jamie Watt told News.com.au it was "exiting" to see how Aussie men defined themselves.
He said the modern Aussie male was really quite a "great guy that embraces our changing world and bustling social climate while still holding onto traditional values".
