Raw sound of Andrew Morris to rock the Sheoak Shack
INDIE artist Andrew Morris will rock out at the Sheoak Shack next month.
The musician recently moved into his new Northern Rivers home where he recorded his latest album The Situationist.
Morris is no stranger to the Sheoak Shack performing there twice before and he loves it.
"It's a great little venue and it would be a complete tragedy if it was ever shut down," he said in relation to the current issues the venue is having with the Tweed Shire Council.
"The crowd there is great and it's a great place that offers free music one of two nights of the week."
It only took the talented artist a week and a half to produce his new record.
"I smashed it out pretty well," he said.
"I'm lucky to have a semi-decent home studio downstairs.
"I got a few of the old band mates and sat around and recorded it live in-studio.
"It's pretty raw as is but it's come out with a pretty good sound."
This album has a number of originals by Morris but he also has a few special cover songs you would usually only see on his tours.
Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch and Tim Rogers classics are all featured.
His latest album was produced under his personal record label Soul Arch Recordings.
Morris will take the stage on November 3 at 6pm.
