Slice of Life

One of my favourite pastimes on weekends is to explore our beautiful area with my partner Jas, camera in hand.

The diversity in the landscape of the Northern Rivers is stunning, and nowhere is more so than the Border Ranges area west of Kyogle. Rising above it all at 1200 metres is Wollumbin's big sister, Mt Lindesay. Like Wollumbin, Mt Lindesay is the plug of an ancient shield volcano which erupted over 20 million years ago.

In this shot my vantage point, the light, the clouds, and the cows all came together at exactly the right moment. It is these rare moments of synchronicity that make photography such a rewarding pursuit.
