Mullum Music Festival announces new performers

The Mullum Music Festival is blitzing with almost daily announcements.

The eight-venue festival, running from November 23-25, has pulled in a mighty selection of male talent, including Boubacar Traore (Mali), Darren Percival, Joe Pug (US), Joe Robinson, Vince Jones, Aya Larkin, Juzzie Smith, Roesy (Ireland), Emad Younan, Nano Stern (Chile), David Ades, Cole & Van Dijk, Jack Carty, Jimmy Dowling and Whitlam's frontman Tim Freedman.

He's going back to his roots, playing a piano at the Courthouse Hotel on his own, unadorned and intimate.

New female announcements include Mr Cassidy, whose two frontwomen, Danni Carr (formally Sweet Painted Ladies) & Emilie Owen (formally Melbourne indie/rock band, Luxedo) sing high and lonesome hillbilly tunes.

They're releasing a new album, Mountain Side and join a sizzling female contingent including Suzannah Espie, Liz Stringer, Mia Dyson and local Ilona Harker.
