Infected shoulder returns Lismore MP to hospital

Lismore MP Thomas George was back in hospital for a few days last week, for follow-up treatment on a shoulder operation he had had before Christmas.

"Due to some complications post-surgery, I was readmitted to hospital," Mr George said in a statement on Monday.

"I have now been advised to rest for a few weeks."

Mr George said that while he took some time off, it will be 'business as usual' in the Lismore electorate office.

"My staff will be supported by my North Coast colleagues, if needed," he said.

Mr George expressed his sincere thanks to everyone in the community who sent him best wishes for a speedy recovery.
