Fix Your Fines days
If you're having trouble dealing with unpaid fines then there's help on the way.
Legal Aid NSW and the Aboriginal Legal Service will help people get their fine debts under control with a series of Fix Your Fines days to be held across the Northern Rivers.
These sessions can help you set up arrangements to pay by instalments or to work off unpaid fines through Work and Development Orders.
You can also get legal advice if you cannot pay your fines or if you think the fines have been wrongly imposed.
You can attend a Fix Your Fine day at Coraki Primary School on July 10, from 9am-2.30pm; at Cabbage Tree Island Health Post on July 11, from 9.30am-2pm; at Bonalabo Aboriginal Community Centre on July 17, from 1pm-3pm; at Muli Aboriginal Land Council on July 24, from 9.30am-12.30pm; at Gugin Guddaba Local Aboriginal Land Council in Kyogle on July 24, from 2pm-4pm; and at Rekindling The Spirit in Lismore on July 31 from 9.30am-3.30pm.
