Dolphins leap into 20th year

With an unprecedented 54 judges and 434 entries from 119 artists across the region, the Northern Rivers' Dolphin Music Awards have broken all records this year.

Twenty years of Dolphins have garnered prizes that helped acts like Grinspoon, Diana Anaid and Marshall and the Fro in their musical trajectories.

Judges for the 20th edition include Robbie Buck, (JJJ and ABC Radio National), Tex Perkins, Dean Sutherland, (Skunkhour), Ash Grunwald, Bianca Lindstrom, (ex- Sony BMG music) and Sam Cutler, (worked with the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton and more).

Eight local acts are performing at the impeccably appointed Star Court Theatre, where the awards will be handed out on Tuesday, December 4. Prizes include five days studio time, a national advertising campaign with mentorship as well as cash.

For tickets, phone 6622 5005 or go to www.starcourttheatre.com.au. The curtains rise at 7.15pm.
