Changes to Echo distribution

CHANGES have been made to the distribution of all Northern Star Ltd community titles including us, The Northern Rivers Echo, as well as the Ballina Advocate, Byron Shire News and Richmond River Express Examiner.

Community titles will now be distributed within shire boundaries and not beyond.

That means The Echo will now only be distributed within the Lismore Local Government Area. Home deliveries to Alstonville and Wollongbar have been cut and bundle drops to all areas outside of the Lismore LGA have also been stopped.

More papers will be available for readers within the Lismore area. If readers outside of Lismore LGA want to continue receiving The Echo they can take out a subscription to The Northern Star and have The Echo delivered free, or if there is sufficient demand, bundles can be dropped at newsagents where there will be a 50 cent charge to pick up a copy of the paper.
