Bruxner Hwy closed after crash
THE Bruxner Highway was closed for more than an hour this afternoon following a two-car collision.
The vehicles crashed shortly before 5pm forcing the closure of both lanes about eight kilometres south of South Lismore.
Motorists experienced extended delays and were advised to avoid the area.
There was also an oil spill at the location.
Emergency services cleared the accident scene shortly after 6pm allowing the reopening of both lanes.
Two people were injured and were taken to Lismore Base Hospital by ambulance.
A police spokesperson said the victims had not sustained life-threatening injuries.
