THE town of Coraki has gotten behind its latest celebrity, Bradley Darke, of Big Brother fame.
Perhaps none more so than Coraki Takeaway, which has created a special burger called the Big Brother Bradley Burger to honour him.
"The owner, Barbara Hicks, thought of (an ingredient) for each initial in his name," staff member Kerrie Bodley said.
The ingredients include Beef/Bacon, beetRoot, Avocado, Dijon mustard, Lettuce, Egg and Yiros garlic sauce and it sells for a well-valued $7 in the shop.
"When he was evicted out of the house, we were going to change the name to Eviction Burger but decided not to," Ms Bodley laughed.
"I know some people who were spending around $40 on texts to keep voting for him to stay in the house."
There's no doubt that Bradley's appearance on Big Brother has been good for Coraki, with many locals proud of the publicity he has received.
"We put the burger on the menu about a week after he went into the Big Brother house," Ms Bodley said.
"Bradley hasn't had a burger yet, but his parents have tried it.
"He came into the shop the night he got home and thanked us for the support."
Coraki Takeaway isn't alone in honouring Bradley with a burger - the Coraki Hotel has placed its own version on the menu too. The Rivertown Times loves trying out any new menu item, and I have to say the burger was delicious.
