Bikini-clad woman abandoned in bush
POLICE have confirmed they are still searching for a man accused of abandoning his female friend in bizarre circumstances in Gold Coast bushland last week.
Emily O'Brien, 24, was reportedly left to fend for herself for four days in Springbrook National Park with no food or clean water and wearing nothing more than a bikini.
She had set out on a bushwalk from Austinville on Tuesday with 33-year-old Matthew Peter Cain, whom she has described as her friend.
Ms O'Brien told Channel Seven Mr Cain became frustrated that she could not keep up with him as the pair tried to find their way out of the national park after becoming lost on Tuesday night.
"He just kept walking and walking and telling me to hurry up and I couldn't. I couldn't go any faster than what I was going," she said.
