Awards open
Over two million people volunteer each year in NSW, contributing 240 million hours and an estimated $5 billion to the economy.
One of them will be Volunteer of the Year. The Centre for Volunteering recognises their vital role in promoting community harmony and strength with this annual award.
Nominations are open in several categories, including youth, senior, team, corporate and volunteer management.
For more information on the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards and to nominate someone who you think is deserving, visit www.nswvolunteerawards.com. Nominations close on August 31 so there's plenty of time to think about who volunteers for the sticky jobs in your community.
Give them some recognition.
