ASIAN brand Hotel de la Paix has expanded into Thailand and Laos, with the official launch of the Hotel de la Paix Cha Am Beach Hua Hin and Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang.
Both properties feature design by renowned Thailand architect Duangrit Bunnag and will build on the arts and community positioning established by the brand's first property, Hotel de la Paix Siem Reap.
Hotel de la Paix Cha Am Beach features the contemporary comfort and cutting-edge style of Duangrid Bunnag's piece-de-resistance; an architectural statement where every vista is an epiphany and every angle a photo opportunity, set against the seaside charm of unspoiled Cha Am.
Its grand courtyard, endless stretch of white marble stairs and rooftop reflection pool create the ultimate sense of arrival; beyond, the promenade and fishing villages of Cha Am evoke a sense of nostalgia.
The wow factor doesn't stop there however with 60sq m standard studios with 4m high ceiling to floor glass in Bunnag's signature 'spacial poetry' style, complimentary mini bar with local beers, juices and snacks refreshed daily and the most memorable shower guests are ever likely to take.
All of this is set against a pristine beachfront location near the seaside town of Cha Am, just two hours drive from Bangkok.
Hotel de la Paix Cha Am Beach topped Trip Advisor in its region last year, also offering golf and spa mini-breaks.
The Hotel de la Paix's 79 studios and pool villas also feature the height of hi-tech with WiFi, 42-inch flatscreen TV, Apple TV pre-loaded with music and movies, and an in-built home theatre system that will even entertain in the bathroom.
The pool villas are 260 sqm, with a 3.8 x 9.6 metre swimming pool, and have become the stuff of legend; each a sanctuary of unsurpassed privacy, with green-walled garden, private lap pool and extensive terrace grounds. Each villa features a master bedroom, lounge and dining areas, and a convertible space that may be used as a second bedroom, nursery or study.
At Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang, a bastion of pure peace and quiet offers the perfect refuge for lovers and dreamers, in the midst of ancient wonders. This resort is utterly unique; a boutique resort that is a World Heritage treasure, a colonial moment preserved in amber, and a showcase of Duangrit Bunnag's contemporary interior design.
Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang stands upon a UNESCO site in the former royal capital of Laos. Once a Governor's mansion, a garrison and briefly a jail, the century old structure has been restored to absolute luxury. Today, 23 spacious suites await, each with a walled rear garden and a terrace overlooking a sun-kissed courtyard; some with their own expansive and very private swimming pools.
The property features Baan Silpa, a faithfully recreated Laos village where local craftsman and artisans go about their business, around a shaded grass square bounded by two traditional pavilions. Guests can also take part in Thai cooking classes in an open kitchen where the resort's master chef shares timeless recipes in a kitchen equipped with every modern convenience.
