Applications open for Youth Activities Fund

COMMUNITY groups looking to undertake projects for young people are invited to apply for Lismore City Council's annual Youth Activities Fund.

These one-off grants are for grassroots projects up to $5000 that are aimed at engaging young people aged 12 to 25.

"There aren't a lot of little grants that local groups can apply for and often youth activities money gets used for really specific projects that wouldn't attract funding in a more competitive arena," youth and community development officer Lizette Twisleton said.

Lizette said all applicants must demonstrate how the project will be inclusive of young people from diverse backgrounds.

The deadline for submissions is 4pm, Friday, November 30.
