The single storey concrete building was erected during the 1920 for the Brisbne drapery firm of Overalls Ltd. Mellors purchased the business in 1954 and sold it to Martion and Robert Hodgson in 2005 who still operate the heritage listed flying fox change dispenser, the only on operating in Australia.
